This Privacy Policy explains how Brightvale Industrial Limited, trading as Bevel (“Bevel”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), collects and uses your personal data when you use our online marketplace (the “Service”), and outlines your rights under UK data protection law.

- Data we collect
We collect and process personal information necessary to operate the Service, including:

Name, company name (if applicable), email address, phone number, and password.
2.2 Transaction data
Quote requests, accepted quotes, order details, and messages exchanged through the Service.
2.3 Delivery-related data
Delivery addresses, delivery instructions, delivery timing information, and delivery evidence shared during disputes.
2.4 Seller onboarding data
Business verification information and bank details required by Stripe. Bevel does not store full payment card details.
2.5 Technical data
IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, timestamps, diagnostic logs, and approximate location derived from IP.
2.6 Cookies
Essential, functional, analytics (with consent), and advertising cookies (if used and with consent).

We use personal data to:

Legal bases for processing include performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligation, and consent.
- Sharing your data
We share data only where necessary to operate the Service:
4.1 Sellers (for fulfilling orders and delivery arrangements) 4.2 Stripe Payments UK Ltd. (for processing payments and payouts) 4.3 Sharetribe Oy (platform hosting provider) 4.4 Google Workspace (communications and document management) 4.5 Zapier Inc. Bevel does not sell or rent personal data.
- Delivery data and communications
5.1
Buyers and Sellers may exchange delivery details voluntarily within the Service after a quote has been accepted.
5.2
Bevel may review delivery-related messages and evidence when necessary to resolve disputes, verify delivery issues, determine if refunds should occur, prevent fraud or misuse, or enforce the Terms of Service.
- Payments and invoices
6.1
Payments for goods, including delivery where applicable, are processed by Stripe when a Buyer accepts a quote.
6.2
If a Buyer requests an invoice, Bevel may process and share necessary personal information with the Seller to enable the Seller to issue the invoice. Sellers are responsible for issuing VAT invoices where legally required. Bevel may retain invoice-related information for up to six years for compliance purposes.
- International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK/EEA. We ensure appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or participation in recognised data protection frameworks.
- Data retention
We retain data as follows:
8.1 Orders and invoices: up to six years 8.2 Account data: active account + 24 months 8.3 Messages: up to 24 months 8.4 Delivery-related evidence: up to 24 months 8.5 Marketing data: until consent is withdrawn
Data is deleted or anonymised after retention periods.
