RETURNS & REFUNDS POLICY (BEVEL)

This Returns & Refunds Policy explains how cancellations, returns, and refunds are handled on Bevel, the online marketplace operated by Brightvale Industrial Limited (“Bevel”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Bevel is a marketplace platform. All purchases are made directly between Buyers and independent Sellers. Sellers are responsible for handling returns and refunds in accordance with applicable law.

  1. Marketplace role Bevel does not sell goods and is not a party to any contract of sale. Sellers are responsible for: • fulfilment of orders • handling cancellations, returns, and refunds • complying with applicable UK law Bevel may assist in facilitating communication and dispute resolution but does not determine contractual liability. Bevel does not take ownership or possession of any goods at any time.

  2. Before order acceptance Buyers may cancel a quote request at any time before accepting a Seller’s quote.

  3. After order acceptance Once a quote has been accepted and payment has been made: • returns and cancellations are handled by the Seller • and are subject to: o the Seller’s terms; and o applicable law Sellers are solely responsible for delivery arrangements and any issues arising from delivery. Where applicable law provides greater rights to Buyers, such rights will override Seller terms.

  4. Consumer rights (important) Where a Buyer is acting as a consumer, statutory rights apply under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and Consumer Rights Act 2015. These may include: • the right to cancel certain purchases within 14 days of delivery • the right to a refund where goods are faulty, misdescribed, or not fit for purpose These rights cannot be excluded or overridden by Sellers or by Bevel.

  5. Condition of returned goods Buyers may inspect goods to the extent necessary to establish their nature and characteristics. However, Sellers may reduce or refuse refunds where goods have been: • used • installed • mixed or combined with other materials • cut, altered, or processed • opened beyond what is necessary for inspection • damaged or not in resaleable condition This is particularly relevant for construction materials such as: • cement, plaster, and binders • aggregates and bulk materials • timber and sheet materials • insulation and membranes • paints, chemicals, and sealants

  6. Non-returnable items The following items are generally non-returnable except where required by law: • bespoke or made-to-order goods • cut-to-size or custom materials • goods that have been used, installed, or mixed • goods that deteriorate once opened • items clearly marked as non-returnable where legally permitted

  7. Delivery costs Where a Buyer cancels as a consumer within the statutory cancellation period: • the Seller must refund the standard delivery cost originally paid Additional delivery upgrades (e.g. express delivery) are not required to be refunded. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the Buyer unless otherwise stated.

  8. Faulty, damaged, or incorrect goods If goods are: • faulty • damaged • incorrect • or not as described Buyers must notify the Seller as soon as reasonably possible and provide: • photographic evidence • order details Sellers are responsible for resolving such issues in accordance with applicable law.

  9. Refund processing Refunds are issued by the Seller and processed through the original payment method via the payment provider. Timing of refunds may depend on: • Seller verification • return of goods • dispute resolution

  10. Communication and disputes Buyers should contact Sellers directly through the platform messaging system to request: • returns • refunds • invoices Bevel may assist in facilitating communication, reviewing disputes, and taking platform-level action where necessary, including: • requesting evidence • delaying payouts • restricting accounts Bevel does not determine contractual liability between Buyers and Sellers and does not guarantee outcomes.

  11. Policy alignment This policy should be read alongside: • Terms of Service • Privacy Policy • Seller policies By using Bevel, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
